Who we are

We are an Australian based, boutique, modern and industry leading professional services organisation specialising in portfolio, program and project management best practice adoption, strategic consulting and independent assurance services.

We possess vast experience across industries that include information technology, communications, digital transformation, capital works, transport, rail, health, utilities, public works, infrastructure, energy, resources and mining, entertainment, law enforcement, justice, social services, emergency services and communities.

2001

Established in 2001, the fledgling company was a very early adopter of the UK Office of Government and Commerce (OGC) Gateway assurance framework, which had not been readily adopted across Australia or New Zealand at this time.

With only three consultants, PM Solutions delivered Australia's first OGC Gateway aligned assurance reviews to the Queensland government and the Brisbane City Council.

2007-2010

The company expands its boutique service offerings being 'not just assurance' and to includes specialised consulting services to government and non-government organisations in Australia, including program and project management, independent PPM tool evaluations and PMO frameworks, successfully servicing clients across Australia and establishing offices in Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast, with a consulting team of 18 leading professionals. ,

In 2008, PM Solutions established its First Nations Peoples Cultural Respect and Awareness Policy and program, as a mandatory requirement for all PM Solutions employees and consultants, as well as all externally utilised subcontractors. Meaning that, all staff undertake cultural awareness knowledge transfer and be familiar with the PM Solutions policy. The policy aims to increase our contractors, sub-contractors and consultant’s awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ culture, history, beliefs, social issues and the ongoing challenges they face.

2010

2010, PM Solutions became one of the first Axelos Consulting Partners ('ACP'), accredited and licensed to deliver consulting services aligned to global best practices for portfolio, program and project (3P) management, agile project management, 3P management offices, agile transformation and portfolio maturity assessment.

2013

PM Solutions was engaged to deliver key elements of the RailCorp transformation and reform program, leading the reform of Customer Service and Operations and the Safety, Environment, Quality and Risk divisions, including the successful outsourcing of investigations and drug testing operations.

2014

On the back of a successful engagement with with the newly established Sydney Trains, PM Solutions was engaged to realign and enable the establishment of NSW Trainlink, across governance, capital works and facilities, training and crewing requirements, industrial relations requirements, HR and operational delivery elements. This once in a generation opportunity was successfully delivered and operationalised across intercity and regional NSW.

2016

PM Solutions becomes a 100% paperless organisation and begins Australia's first 'virtual' assurance reviews.

2019

The company develops and release the 'Rapid and Active' agile delivery method, specifically designed for critical government project establishment, delivery and assurance.

The company invests in Global Digital Assurance Pty Ltd and takes an appointed board member position.

2020

The company is heavily sought after for 'virtual' assurance services techniques, on the back of the global health pandemic.

PM Solutions become is appointed portfolio, program and project management maturity partners for Sydney Metro, leading on from the world's largest and most complex P3M3 maturity assessment.

The PM Solutions team is expanded to 19 consultants.

2021

PM Solutions introduces its Lessons to Emulate reporting services, based on (and supported by) the McKinsey & Company 5C's and Loane's Benchmarking models.

PM Solutions extends its commitment to Axelos and in a joint venture produces 2 x P3M3 case studies and 2 x outstanding white papers on 3PMO management and the adoption of P3O.

In July 2021, PM Solutions will be one of the world's first 'elite" level Axelos Consulting Partners under the ACP scheme and will introduce ITIL Maturity Model assessment services (Australia and New Zealand's first).

In October 2021, PM Solutions were appointed assurance partners for the business critical and multi-year Australian Commonwealth Government "GovERP" program.

2022

PM Solutions is appointed assurance partnering organisation to the multi-year QBuild Digital Transformation Program.

PM Solutions becomes the first Best Practice Accredited Partner for Assurance Plus™, delivering best practice assurance across SAP® and ERP programs and project solutions implementations.

PM Solutions is appointed assurance advisors to the critical Brisbane City Council ERP Digital Program.

The company implemented the Customer Satisfaction Survey process, which delivers 360 degree customer driven feedback on PM Solutions best practice, consulting and assurance services.

PM Solutions delivers Australia’s first P3M3 maturity assessment using the Axelos online assessment tool and reporting outputs.
